Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) is a market that generates consistent cash flow and the global demand has been outstripping supply for years. Stellar Partners was able to identify a special opportunity in Belfast, Northern Ireland. With a history dating back to 1865, the University of Ulster is relocating its main campus into a brand-new facility in the downtown area of the city. The relocation is part of a government led urban regeneration plan. Through its extensive network of global contacts, Stellar Partners was able to see the tremendous opportunity in the risk and reward trade off and had acquired a piece of land right adjacent to the university and had finished the development of the PBSA that will officially open in September 2019 on time and on budget.

Old Thorns is the leading resort and entertainment destination in the South of England with its 150-room hotel, 51 brand new apartments and its legendary golf course, which was opened in a classic four-ball tournament in 1981 that included legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Steve Ballesteros, Isao Aoki and Bill Rogers. Seeing firsthand the booming business activities at Old Thorns and through our extensive network circle, Stellar Partners was invited to provide a unique financing plan to Old Thorns’ management when they unveiled the expansion plan of 51 apartments to accommodate the demand. The development is now complete and Old Thorns’ business is stronger than ever due to a successful investment collaboration.

Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 16 million tourists visiting in 2018. Citadines Berawa Beach Bali, a 226-room international four-star hotel development by Stellar Partners, is located in Canggu, a districted that is ranked no. 4 on Forbes’ 2019 Top 10 Overseas Place to Live and Invest. Stellar Partners was captivated by Canggu’s natural beauty and trendy vibes when conducting research back in 2016. A stone’s throw away from the Berawa Beach, the hotel will be operated by one of the top hotels and serviced residence operators in the world – The Ascott Limited – under the world-renowned Citadines brand. With a clear overall strategy, execution plan and unique local knowledge, Stellar was able to procure one of the few remaining plots of land available in the fast-growing area of Canggu. The hotel has been in operation since 2021, right in the tumultuous pandemic times, but the team has overcome the challenges and is on track to achieve pre-pandemic performance. It was truly wonderful turning the project from concept into reality.
